It's not a great loss really.
A rather ironic slogan in this advertisement I think.

My first car was a Ford Cortina 1600 Super (with GT bits) but didn't have a vinyl roof but I wanted one so ordered one from Exchange and Mart. After sticking it on, and that was a job and a half, it didn't look any better. My 3rd car was a Ford Capri 3000GXL, yellow with a black vinyl roof and that did actually look quite good. I also had a Lincoln Continental MKIV 2 door coupe which was red with a white vinyl roof and a blue leather interior (red, white and blue, who says Americans don't have taste?) which was tulip.

Er.. is this thread about records, eggs or cars?

Anyway, vinyl. Wanted to play my old LPs from the attic in my bedroom, bleedin' 'eck players are expensive now! So hacked down an old player and removed tapes and CD stuff that didn't work, just left the deck and amp that did. Sounds brill.
