Looking at my 'Amazon' mail folder, 1500 emails, probably 1200 are orders (I usually delete the others) in the last nine years makes 133 orders per year, more than 2 per week on average.

Mind you, I have a nice DVD collection!

They actually make the shopping experience "fun". Something I never thought was possible! Only thing is I am finding less and less reason to go out shopping, I guess it's kinder on the environment at least.....

Yup, although I'm doing cold turkey because my "Saved for Later" list has hundreds of items, mostly books and DVDs, but I haven't actually ordered anything for two or three months now.

My only complaint is that a lot of sellers take advantage of online sales to shave a bit off the item size! Everything from coffee mugs to laundry bags seems when it arrives slightly smaller than one expected, or sometimes ridiculously smaller, which is why I still buy most things like that in real shops.

Most high street shops sell cheap crap at premium prices anyway and are best avoided IMO. John Lewis is about the only physical store I go to regularly. And Clas Ohlson which is properly random but fun.

I was wondering if anybody else shares my addiction for Amazon? I paid £40 for Amazon Prime last year and have had LoveFilm free for the last few months. I have had amazing value in return doing a lot of my shopping online with everything arriving the next day. I even have a nappy subscription setup and it is a lot cheaper than the supermarkets. I must have bought over 200 items from Amazon over the last year.

£79 for prime now. Not too bad if you currently pay for lovefilm anyway (£6 a month so thats £72/year).

Anybody used the kindle borrowing library you get with prime? (Still seems a bit weird to me - borrowing an ebook). If so, any good?

I've got some Amazon stuff in some ridiculous over sized packaging simply because they aren't books or DVDs.

Plus if you are the only one on your street getting a delivery and it isn't done by Royal Mail then it's not more kind to the environment.

I got the £49 deal for Prime+Instant Video which is a great deal. However if you only want Prime for next-day delivery it seems a bit pricey at £79 to me... loads of people won't want the video service.

Barstewards stopped doing free super saver delivery to cloggers

Consider most of the cook books I order are pretty heavy it saved a fortune and English language books here in cloggers are well expensive.

I tried but annoyingly it only seems to be available for actual Kindles, whereas I use the Kindle app on my iPad.

I love Prime - I have two children in nappies.
