My contract ends this week, so at least I don't have to worry about flying. I'm thinking of looking for a new contract that would have me making the weekly commute to e.g. Benelux by car, using the Tunnel. Thing is, isn't that a likely target too? And how can I find out without looking on the Web and thus getting myself profiled as someone interested in terrorist threats to the Tunnel? Oh Sh*t, too late!

Last Eurostar I was on from Brussels was delayed four hours because of emigrants in the tunnel. Maybe you should go survey the tunnel terminals to assess risk? Make some maps, record some video, that sort of thing.
Dover to Dunkirk ferry? Takes about an hour longer, but then saves you an hours drive up the coast from Calalis - at least if you're going to Holland/Belgium.Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

Well I took the tunnel on Friday and there were no real extra security checks, in fact a couple of years ago it was stricter. Bloody expensive mind you, €155.00 for just one way!!!“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment
