I've heard some stories about the management types in this country. They've all followed the same pattern. Been in the job since birth promoted up the ladder with little academic qualification but nevertheless put in a position with huge responsibility that is beyond them. You can't respect those sort but is a byproduct of those old companies.

Oi Admin, please do the needful and change the title of this thread to either "Suity Bails Again" or "Brave Sir Robin Ran Away".

So you wouldn't be able to cope with it for £5k per day? Or 10k per day? Or 50k per day?

I think with me it's a psychological thing. In my permie days I worked in a sweatshop of an software house. Regular kick ins from PMs, over things that looking back I should have stood my ground on.

So when I've got nothing I can move on, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Yes I have the emails in the draw, yes I have made every reasonable attempt to move things forward, but for me it's stressful as you're waiting for that kick in.

I think I need to learn to loaf.

You really need to pull yourself together. Ask yourself:

                  1. Are you invoicing?
                  2. Is it indoor work?
                  3. Is there no heavy lifting?

If yes to all three, stop whining, for your sake if not for ours. Do you have any idea how difficult it is out there for some people? Man up! Man up!
