Are you prepared to compromise? Sometimes the possibility of doing business in the future can be offset against losing a small amount on an invoice. Invariably many businesses are “offended” by the use of legal proceedings and may choose not to do business with you again. Compromise can help avoid this situation.

Getting Paid
Taken from the article on the CUK front page. I really wonder why the site isn't called Employers UK or Agents UK. -

Would they be so understanding if I billed them too much. Surely they wouldn't want to offend me either by taking me to court.Comment

Being a self-employed contractor, I've decided that my goals and objectives for today are to peruse as much filthy porn as possible and to work my way through a box of kleenex.
As for you, me old cheesy muka, isn't it about time you returned to the phone? That helpdesk won't run itself.Comment

What would have been of more use would have been an article on how to extract money from dodgy agents who refuse to pay up (or keep money illegally).
However considering the rather "pro-agency" bias on this website Id be surpised to ever see something so incisive! :rollin
