This may need to be pinned, but I think the rules appear to be:
You can call a cretin a cretin.
You can call MF a ****.
You can say what you like to Sas.
You cannot call anyone a ******* moron in the professional forums except psychocandy.

Some of the posters get worked up about mod favouritism, because they see the rules being applied unevenly. But of course they are too stupid and/or socially incompetent to be able to understand how context can shift the rule boundaries one way or t'other. But I guess there are a lot of people in IT who cannot deal with grey areas.Comment
