I recently bought a Dell windows 8 laptop for my Dad. After 3 days of struggling with it I sent it back and got a full refund.

Windows 8 is a defective product in my opinion. Not fit for purpose.

Dell lost a lifelong customer over that.

I'm genuinely interested in why you struggled for 3 days with it? I understand just because I find it easy doesn't mean other people do. So please tell me why?

Yep these are people using win 8 for the first time. I asked the poster why they had struggled, please remember they had been struggling for 3 days. So I asked why they struggled for 3 days.

I had to get used to the mac os but I didn't write it off because it was new to me.

I've got one of them, 'works' on Windows as well. I've not found any practical use for it. I was expecting it to be usable as a virtual touch screen with Windows 8, but the software isn't up to it.
