Open Source
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.' -

I was thinking as a CV enhancer. Seeing as I have to read the source in lieu of a manual and occasionally fix it, I might as well get some credit for it.While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

Depends. I'd put it in the same category as BCS membership. It may give you a hard on but to everyone else it just makes you look like a weirdy beardy sandal wearing code chimp.Originally posted by doodab View PostI was thinking as a CV enhancer. Don't quote me on that, but the only cv enhancer in the Open Source world is submitting patches to the Linux kernel. Be prepared for lots of frustration and religious wars.Originally posted by doodab View PostI was thinking as a CV enhancer. And don't mess with the FSF foundation, they're nutters!<Insert idea here> will never be adopted because the politicians are in the pockets of the banks!Comment

You don't think any of the common Java open source stuff is worth bothering with? I mean, if I have to fix it anyway....Originally posted by petergriffin View PostDon't quote me on that, but the only cv enhancer in the Open Source world is submitting patches to the Linux kernel. As a war-hardened contractor, I doubt it other than as a way of highlighting how you not only used trendy-tech-X, but are expert with it.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
