We all make choices in life, I decided to educate myself and over the years work my balls off to get the skills to be in the position I am now.

What about folks with families, big mortgage, trying to live a lifestyle they can't afford (I know plenty of people who have unrealistic expectations), it's not much to work with unless frugal makes you happy.

Why are folks with families entitled to a non-frugal life? If they want to live a luxury lifestyle they should both work and not have kids.

But anyway up here you don't need a big mortgage. £150k will get you a perfectly nice 3 bed detached house with a decent garden a handful of miles out of town.
