Clearly not though because there are loads of top scientists, judges, lawyers and so on who believe in aliens, goblins, crystal skulls before we even get to more orthodox religious beliefs!

The shortcut back home from the pub went through the churchyard. One night as I staggered through I fell into a freshly dug grave, and I scrabbled and jumped and scrambled and shouted for help.
In the end I wrapped myself up in my coat and settled down in the corner for the night.

Half an hour later , someone even drunker came staggering along and fell in , right in front of me. He jumped and scrabbled and scrambled and shouted for help.
In the end I stood up and taped him on the shoulder

'You'll never get out of here'

        but he did

But what if they have evidence? And what do you mean by "evidence"? Evidence that you'd accept, or evidence that's acceptable to the believer? Pretty dumb statement, all in all, and in itself evidence of below average intelligence, ignorance AND inadequate education - kind of moronic ill-thought out twaddle produced by sasguru in fact.

Except the bit about the Lib Dems of course.

What if you had evidence that convinced you of something 100%. Incontraverible evidence. Then you got further evidence that it was, in fact, wrong.
Would you ever trust your evidence gathering and evaluation again ?
It's happened to me. I will never trust my senses or my swede 100% ever again

I assume he means evidence from scientifically reproducible experimentation, i.e. deterministic behaviour.

The scientific method teaches that only the scientific method is valid.

Evidence of a scientific nature, peer reviewed by highly educated and experience people in the related field. Anecdotal stories about God answering prayers does not even begin to qualify.

I find it depressing that people still don't have a basic knowledge of the Scientific method works.

and how does the scientific method work then ?

You sound like an arts graduate who has picked up science later.
