Last day as a permie, so cue embarrassing speeches and presents (already had the collection left on my desk by mistake) and hopefully a slightly early finish 4:45 instead of 6 - yippee. Never mind, week off in the sun playing golf, drinking and watching footy then new contract starts....which is nice

Weird
Weird the way it works. If you get a really tulipe pressy it means you where cr@p.
The applause at the end is a bit more difficult becuase after somebody has told everyone what a nice guy you are, applause will follow.
Mine was very loud and thumderous at my last permie job. Not sure if it was because everybody was happy to see the back of me or not.
Also, some advice, dont hang around at the pub with your ex-workmates. They will get drunk and start telling you all their work issues, as you are no longer a threat, so you become, for one night only, the comapny agony aunt. A harrowing experience.
