ITIL Cramming

So you see, I'm not as you put it screwed, whatever you want to think.

Are you actually qualified? If not, you won't mind if I pass on your advice for anyone that is and that cares to share. If you are perhaps you'd care to answer the question. I don't mind the crap as long as the question gets answered too. :) tyvm.

I have a smart little red badge in the bottom of my drawer somewhere that really means **** all but thank you all the same.

It is not what I think, it is what I read, and from your basic description of 'I have only a high level of understanding but own a set of ITIL CBT that I have never gotten around to looking at.' I would quite happily say you are screwed.

If you don't like the advice you are given in general maybe you should posted it in the right ******* part of the forum. :winker:

You post this crap in general and then have a go at me when I post something like a reasonable response.

Now to turn to my need ( which after all, this thread was about), this potential opportunity would make use of my skills and experience in a particular domain which are not in doubt but which have a need for some, reiterate SOME understanding of ITIL; at this, I would like to show some adaptability, willingness to learn and enthusiasm. I am not looking to con them into thinking I am something I'm not.

Anyway, to close, I think I've gotten about as much out of this thread as I ever will.

OK, some understanding can be gleaned from here - https://www.dropbox.com/s/hqnqd3xsi0gn3qb/ITIL Road Map.doc

That's basic V2 and a bit old and it ignores the Service Catalogue (which most people get wrong anyway) but it does cover the bits that people actually need. Hope it helps. :wink

Or do the online Foundation Course and get an appreciation of the current model. That's what it's for.

Time to close this I think Mod. TY

Thanks Mal, I will have a look.

NLUK useless drivel as ever but thanks for confirming what we already know :)
