      Really?

I was considering becoming veggie for the perceived health benefits. I would also have been doing this with my family, although the wife spent a 10 year veggie childhood. Thanks to this thread, I have actually looked a lot deeper into it that I had, and will be just cutting a lot more red meat out of the diet.

I think if this was your plan, it has spectacularly failed.

No, I'll always eat meat, just less red meat.

Don't confuse the two. You've actually made me eat more meat, given I was thinking of tanking it all in...

What's the problem with red meat? OK, it might be good to eat less beef, but venison, hare, ostrich and kangaroo are all very healthy alternatives. Tasty too. You must try my Stewed Skippy some time.

Had a Skippy Fillet in Aus. It was very good.

Just wanting a more healthy diet, with less Ham, Bacon and Beef really. I love bacon, I really do, but know it's not that good for me in the big scheme of things.

Lets close this thread now, I have helped one poster eat less meat and probably countless others are now starting out on wonder journeys with a meat free diet. (And as a bonus we got some comedy moron posters, thanks dooogh, Mich etc)

Again, wrong, not less meat, less red meat. Mustn't start making more mistakes of the kind you've been making throughtout this thread.

I can see why you'd like it closed.

                      make that 2 people

I'm now much less likely to become vegan so you'll need to undo that damage
I've just started an Atkins diet. I think I'll have foal for lunch.
