Nope, but actually they eat a variety of small animals, snails and catapillars and suchlike, and chimps who are even closer relatives eat a variety of birds and small mammals including other monkeys. You could argue that the eating of greater amounts of animal is one of the things that enabled us to out evolve these other primates.

Nope, we have intestines ratio of a herbivore, same teeth, no claws. If we were carnivores we would be able to go out and kill an animal with out bare teeth and eat it all, brains, anus etc. Once you have done that come back and I agree with you that we were meant to eat meat.

Gorillas eat insects. Chimanzees are more closely related to humans, and they eat monkeys, small birds and mammals as well as fruit and leaves.
