Actually you are right, there are many women out there who could not by any stretch of imagination be called beauitiful but are without a doubt extremely attractive both sexually and emotionally.

Also there are many extremely beautiful women out there that only the shallowest of men would find attractive.

I suspect obtaining a mate, or finding someone who will mate with you and rear offspring successfully, is at least as important as selecting for facial attractiveness.

I was wondering if these same features are universally attractive, across all ethnic groups. Eskimos would die out if they had a penchant for tall slim women, rather than ones looking as if they had been hit by a shovel. One article I read refers to an average of the faces one is exposed to; perhaps facial beauty isn't entirely genetically determined, but has an environmental component too.
