i think this year was a new record for number of socks I received

The champion carp present giver in my family is my brother in law's great aunt, Ivy (names changed to protect the guilty)

Last year he and my sister received a Christmas card with "Best wishes to Ivy" not very well crossed out.

And when told that my 7 year old neice had expressed an interest in knitting, she replied joyfully "Oh I've had some wool for years, and I was wondering what to do with it!", and this Christmas my neice's present was a ball of wool with a couple of knitting needles shoved through it.

I got some dodgy red from mine.

I got a bottle of Bollinger from my agent which was pretty decent I thought, but I don't like champagne.

Is it a mellow red or one of those sickly fruity types?
