Maybe this will be an option:

The pill that takes away the desire to drink on a night out ...but where's the fun in that? | Mail Online

Scientists are developing a ‘stay sober’ pill which may spare the blushes of those who get drunk too easily, by limiting the effects of alcohol on their brains.
I think this will be a placebo pill. I've heard stories where people have been drinking cola all night thinking it's vodka and coke and still end up getting pissed.

Maybe that's how pubs/clubs get away with all the teens pouring out of their establishments too drunk to walk (it's an offence to serve someone who is already drunk). They've been selling them soft drinks all night and the mugs have fallen for the scam.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

That will get rid of the headache but instead will damage the liver. Drink lots of clear water instead.

In a fascinating experiment, mice given the drug did not even get tipsy, despite being fed enough alcohol to make them stumble and fall over.
Surely that's affecting the symptom not the cause, and could lead to excessive alcohol consumption as reduced ill effects are experienced.

This would be a better idea, shirley?

If you need pills, take Paracetemol and not ibuprofen. Ibuprofen will blister your stomach lining following the damage the alcohol will have done to it the night before. (Tip given to me by a doctor friend a few months ago)

Had to go home at lunchtime and have a two hour kip before heading back to the office.

Today has been a nightmare. I shall never drink again.

I am MF. It has been 12 hours since my last drink.

I once went to a pizzeria, had a Pizza and a beer, and felt a bit tipsy as you do, that was until I saw the alcohol free label , and then all of a sudden I was sober
