community officers

There were a lot of lost looking immigrants wandering around as ten community officers were required to hold up pedestrians and traffic at one junction whilst someone important had to obviously drive their car accross london. I can now see why these community officers are so important- they are needed to hold up traffic in order to make travelling by car easy for our political masters.

I walked past Victoria coach station yesterday on the way to a meeting, being an observant agent I noticed two things:
There was an abundance of people from eastern europe arriving presumably to work in jobs at the a*** end of the jobs market.

Oh come on, dodgy. A big part of London economy is based on millions coming abroad working for 3-5 pounds an hour. It is so here and so it was back in the 90s. The only difference is that in the past many people had to work in the black market thus increasing the burden of tax evasion in here. Take off all immigrants (but a big majority of them are just here to learn english or to have a general experience and so they will stay 6 months - 1 year) and the London economy will collapse tomorrow. On what else is London economy based otherwise? cars? beers? Please, tell me again what else do we do here in England as I can't see any tangible things made in London rather than stinking sandwiches at 3 pounds each with labour costing 4 pounds an hour. Ask the average chavess if she's happy to work at benji for 4 pounds an hour. She certainly would be proud of that, rather than getting pregnant and take her council flat while others are paying for that. I think it's more of a case that eastern european should complain about this.

Good luck to the Poles I say, they have hd a terrible time over the past century, good for them if they want to better themselves, and as its an EC country you can work in their county should you wish.

Has anyone been in a bar or restaurant recently where the staff have not been mostly East European? High percentage in supermarkets too.

Ah yes, silly me! they do the jobs British people don't want of course!

The only slight problem I have with that concept is that a couple of years back I cannot recall hanging around in these same or similar bars/restaurants/supermarkets for hours waiting to be served because of staff shortages.

The reality is mostly that immigrants create their own demand. Add more people, you need more barmen, shop assistants, doctors etc to cater for them. The gross domestic product goes up, the quality of life goes down and, if you're really lucky, the standard of living goes nowhere.

The local cafe I have lunch at is totally staffed by some very nice 20 something Eastern European ladies , I appreciate them All day breakfast served with a smile

Why is it then that the tax payer is forking out vast sums of money to employ British people to give directions to immigrant workers?

Come to think of it, why is the overworked taxpayer forking out good money to finance the DTI Agency Standards operatives who spend all day policing dodgy agents like yourself?
