I actually got out yesterday and am now sitting in cash with a very healthy profit. Now trading off my wifes trading account as exceeded my capital gains for the financial year. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

Actually I am more than happy day trading ranges on about 15 shares at the moment. Apart from a timing issue a few weeks ago when I dropped 12k in a couple of days(now recovered) because I called the ftse bottom wrong it's been pretty clear sailing. Let volatility be your friend.Originally posted by Jog On View PostSo it's gold, silver, CHF and JPY for you then? What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

Something spooked the market at 1.30pm as my monitors gone a bit mental and shares have started dropping below their last few hours holding points. Barclays, BP, Diageo, Standard Life, lloyds just dropped below their day lows.Originally posted by eek View PostYou'll see more than that today with today's announcement for NFP of 0.What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

That was Non Farm Payroll from the States. The figure of 0 is really a net loss of 110,000 jobs as I think that is what is required for the US economy to stand still.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostSomething spooked the market at 1.30pm as my monitors gone a bit mental and shares have started dropping below their last few hours holding points. Its a very bad figure, far worse then expected and emphasises the fact that the USA is still in recession.merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment
