Everyone's doing it....

Two of my mates met their blokes online. One's now married and the other looks to be heading that way. There were a few rejects along the way, but no wierdos as far as I know.

Another got into the speed dating thing. She actually ended up going out with a bloke who was standing at the bar waiting for his mate, but generally she found the whole experience OK.

Of course, if you can't be bothered with all that, there's always Wilmslow...

In reality, I'm not that bothered - especially not about the relationship side of it.

In that case, in reality, you are not ready for it.
Besides, if you go getting embroiled with some new pair of trousers, then who will provide the calming conciliatory influence on all things CUK?
:wink

..and I just can't figure out when I will ever have time/opportunity for these 'dates'. I'm sure there are people who would babysit, but I could not fathom having the inclination to go on tons of dates with men who inevitably won't make me laugh.

I feel as if I should be bothered about meeting someone, but mainly because so many people feel it's Ok to quiz me about it these days.

In reality, I'm not that bothered - especially not about the relationship side of it. If I could fast forward say two years to being comfy and living with someone, fine. It's the effort required up front that I don't know I will have time for. Dates, trying to find time between work and my son - etc.

How the HELL do people manage this?!

Well, that's a different matter, especially as most of the blokes you are going to meet probably aren't looking as far forwards as the comfy living with someone two years down the line. And of course, it's precisely when you are comfy and settled and think you have done the hard work that the hard work starts, isn't it?

Don't do it because other people expect you have a partner. Do it because you WANT to do it. Screw what anyone else thinks.

Yeah, I do generally.

If I was going to get all deep and meaningful here, I'd say I'm probably burying my head slightly to stop history repeating itself.

Recent events have started me thinking that maybe I should sort it out; get laid and maybe meet someone who can sort the DIY out.

For all we know, MP might have GILF lesbian tendencies? I mean, she does like to interact with some of the old women on here.:laugh

You probably don't nee me to tell you, but stay away from IT contractors :laugh
