    A truely shocking error.
I remember getting trains between Leeds and Stafford, and walking between Piccadilly and Victoria. Not bad in fine weather, but a little too far when it's raining or you have heavy bags. There was a shuttle bus at one point.

The last time I did the Piccadilly to Victoria trip was after catching the train from Manchester Airport. Ooh, look! They've got trams this time!

But on the platforms there wasn't a single sign to indicate which direction each platform served. Not a soul around to ask either, for it was a Sunday morning. Yours truly picked the wrong direction, but all turned out well, for I found an excellent mucky boozer which did perfect Boddies and had a good juke box too. I cheated and took a taxi after that.

The next leg was a cock up too. I'd forgotten that Sunday is engineering day on the UK railways, so we ended up on a bus across the Pennines. I did enjoy the scenery though.
Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.

What I find more shocking than any of the railway stuff is that anyone would admit to being so brain-dead that they watch this turgid badly-written and appalingly acted utter tulipe instead of wasting signifcant parts of their life that they'll never get back.

I only caught a few minutes of it, Mrs Styles watches it. To me it's never been the same since Jack Duckworth gave up the window cleaning round and Reg Holdsworth left.

My ex-wife's refusal to ever miss an episode was a (small) factor in our demise. It was hard to avoid then if I wanted to spend any time with her.
