      My missus thinks that if the heating is on and it gets to the thermostat level then the heating is off because the boiler is not firing, so then she flicks the switch thinking she is turning it on when all she is doing is turning it off.

      She keeps turning the heating off in the middle of the day.

      "so darling... if we are in a car going down a hill at 21 miles an hour and we are not pressing the accelerator is the car on?"
