    There was a big tasting - a couple of hundred bottles opened. Being proper tasters, they spit. So you end up with several large spittoons full of wine. These things got emptied down the sink throughout the course of the day. Apparently (so the plumber told me) there's a pump that pumps it up from the kitchen to the drains on the floor above. Something went wrong with this process, hence wine dripping through the ceiling. His remedial action was a bucket and 'do not use' sign on the sink. He tells me someone will fix it properly tomorrow.
