The bus outside work yesterday evening didn't turn up. Snarl up in the town centre assumed so I went for the other bus 10 minutes walk away.
Slow slow slow. What should have been a 20 minute ride took over an hour.
I heard the bus driver chatting on the radio. Apparently he was getting close to his daily limit of the number of hours behind the wheel. Not something I'd really thought of before, but it made me wonder if when a bus blobs in bad weather it can be due to a shortage of drivers with enough legal driving hours left that day.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

I'm hoping the weekly commuters all **** off home tonight and then I'll have a leisurely drive home tomorrow lunchtime.
Oh well, one can hope.

We finally got what can only be described as a "light dusting". Pah!
Hardly worth the effort!

About 2-3 inches in SW London. Was going to go in to work on the Busa but scuppered that plan. No SW overground train service so had to take a bus to the Northern Line and get on the tube with the smelly proles.Hard Brexit now!

All trains and ferries running like clockwork here on the mainland. Flights looking a bit dodgy though.
Snow falling at a steady rate and sticking.
Client couldn't start one of their lines today as one of the Shopfloor PCs had frozen. Outbound logistics trucks starting to back up as the traffic is going slow.Comment

Not too much over night in Manchester but the compacted stuff on the pavements is really, really slippy. The roads seem ok though.
My sis lives near Buxton - they haven't been able to move the car off the drive since weekend
