Watching the News this evening you'd think the whole country was covered in snow and yet we've got flip all here. Just the meagre sprinkling we had on Friday with frost layers on top. No more snow is forecast either.

They said last night that the only places that had seen none were Torquay, Weymouth, and Swanage. As you can guess, we have not had a sniff of snow yet. And no forecast of any either.
Which probably means we will be snowed in by the weekend...

You're in Bristol, yes? Am going down to Yatton at the weekend, glad no snow is forecast.

Prob about 8inches here in Glossop, and it's still falling. Still went to clientco today, wanted to try the LR Discovery in the snow anyway.

It's not bad once you get on the main roads anyway. The Snake Pass and Woodhead are closed as you would expect.

One of the guys at clientco is in the local mountain rescue team and has already been called out a load of times helping the ambulance service.

Wonder if the local hoofs will build a large snow cock in the main square like they did last year

Got well over a foot here. Had to dig the car out just to get it off the drive, and then dig again to get it back on after we got back with fresh supplies. Local Sainsburys was deserted. One till open and 3 customers in the whole store including us.

A1 is open but still needs care as the outside lane is covered in slush. Most other A roads are passable if you take it slow and steady. Everything else is at your own risk. Roads in the village haven't been cleared or gritted at all. Getting in and out is an adventure. Haven't been into the office at all this week and have just signed off a temporary increase in licenses for our VPN to cover the extra people working from home like me.

We had some white stuff, briefly, it's pretty much all melted but every other county seems to have been impacted.

I've been to Oxford and back this evening, despite "don't travel unless you absolutely have to" type warnings. All the roads completely clear, less traffic than usual. I had to take a bit of a run up to get up my drive after the first failed attempt, but apart from that I think nobody has any kind of significant snow; it's all a conspiracy by the telly broadcasters and newspapers.

However I did fall on my arse walking back from the pub.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.
