Since 2007, the Office of National Statistics has assumed larger glasses are being used and stronger alcohol is being consumed. They now assume that a glass of wine contains 2 units, rather than 1, as it did before. With beer, what used be counted as 1 unit is now counted as 1.5, what used to be 1.5 units is now assumed to be 2 units and what used to be 2.3 units (a large can) is now counted as 3 units.

So far the majority of voters have voted 'none'.. Interesting.. I wonder how many drink 0 units by choice.

I currently drink around the limit but left to my own devices I tend to drink myself into oblivion.

I shall probably end up a 'not by choice' teetotaller some day soon as I definitely have 'the demon' inside me.

Do you mind awfully not sprinking the word 'bedwetter' around. As creator of such terms as flouncer, bedwetter and knickerbocker glory I would appreciate it if you stopped using my terminology before I have to cock drop you.

              Thx

I only drink Friday/Saturday/Sunday night, and probably a bottle of wine each night

I prefer quality to quantity, so will have a glass or two of an evening, though only on the weekends if working and maybe a few scoops at the S&S on a school night once a week.

Don't like the idea of negotiating my way back to the sticks from the smoke whist 3 sheets to the wind and then getting up with a heavy head the next morning.
