Not having a car in Russia is (was) hardly suprising. I'm told by someone who has visited there since during Communist times that "petrol stations" consisted of a tanker pulling up at a corner, after which a queue of customers would swiftly form. Roads between major cities were/are useless. (I guess all travel is/was by train or plane.)Comment

Ice on windscreen in the morning?
No Problem!
Simply instruct your wife to warm up the car for you (about 5 mins before you are going to leave)!
