Are you sure you're not confusing Tibco with Ronco?Sval-Baard Consulting Ltd - we're not satisfied until you're not satisfied.

Ah, synonym for SAPOriginally posted by Dearnla View PostIt's a bit of software that solves all your business problems. Oh, and costs a fortune in Consultancy charges to get it to work.

IIRC when I was doing a POC at the CSA they had TIBCO and it was a SNAFU“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

Do you tell prospective clients that you click run on test scripts for €75/hr.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostI see. Mr Tibco, or whatever his name was, had a problem, which was 'I am unable to dream up or produce a useful software product that people will buy'. So he dreamt up a 'solution', which was 'I will use a business bulltulip generator to make a posh sounding text for my website promising solutions to all the problems of businesses, and then I will sell 'consultancy' for many many pounds per hour, and sell this 'solution' to ignorant people whose job is to spend somebody else's money'.

Tibco Rendezvous was their classic messaging product. It was a very good product. I worked with it a lot. Easily the best of the bunch.
Now they have Tibco Businessworks. This is used in a lot of banks for enterprise service bus stuff - implementing integration projects. This is a well paid contractor skill.
Tibco used to be in Bishopsgate somewhere. They were all PhD boffins. The main man is (was?) an Indian guy who invented pub/sub messaging about 15 years ago, as someone else said.Comment
