Out of hours vet. Initial consultation £109 + VAT
    Treatment on top.

    Back to the point.

    Firstly is the dog alright?

Secondly vets charge through the nose for everything. One local one I know charges £85 just for a phone consultation.

You don't have pet insurance? Take this as a stark reminder what life would be like for people without the NHS. Like Americans.

Pooch is fine. The Vet said they can't examine her as she is too sensitive around the area, but they have prescribed pain killers to make her comfortable and anti biotics.

She seems to have perked up. £130 to stop a friend from being in pain doesn't seem so bad, just the initial shock of the consultancy fee.

At least that's what I tell the wife when the cat is sick. Apparently I just don't understand.

Going by your dribbling posts if I was the dog I would have asked for euthanasia.

Your dog paid £130 to get you meds to overcome the shock of consultancy fees? Either I'm losing it or you are.
