Have you noticed how Nick Clegg now is almost stuck to the hip with Vince Cable in front of the media? And on their campaign bus too.

Saw Nick Clegg this morning, can't say he inspired any confidence.Originally posted by Churchill View PostNope, can't say I have.
Still when Gordon's telling him what to do he'll be alright.Comment

Well they put Cable next to him all the time because 1) people have a vague idea who Cable is 2) it is an attempt to shore up voter confidence in the relative inexperience of Clegg
none of this will mean Lib Dems make any progress at all. Won't be long until UKIP and BNP overtake them.Comment

The reason being is that his wife actually works in a proper job unlike the other two wives.Originally posted by contractor79 View PostWell they put Cable next to him all the time because 1) people have a vague idea who Cable is 2) it is an attempt to shore up voter confidence in the relative inexperience of Clegg
Though I admit Cherie Blair did work but she was self-employed so could choose to take important dates off in advance.
So cynical.Originally posted by contractor79 View Postnone of this will mean Lib Dems make any progress at all. Won't be long until UKIP and BNP overtake them.
I live in a Lib Dem constituency and all the ones close to me are Lib Dem.
Looking at the votes for the past Euro, General and local elections it seems that people in my area don't both voting for the UKIP candidate in General and Local elections."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I think the Beeb summed it up the best.
While Brown and Cameron are running around the country campaigning with their wives... they described Vince Cable as Nick Clegg's "political wife".Comment

It's also because in the case of a hung parliament, you can bet that Vince Cable as chancellor will be price of Nick Clegg's co-operation.
Kiss goodbye to higher rate pension relief if that happens.Comment

According to recent polls 30% of the public don't know who Nick Clegg is, and 19% thought he was leader of the BNP.
Yet 20% are thinking of voting Lib Dem. When the general public are so stupid you can see why Labour think they have a good chance of winning the election.Comment

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Don't think there's UKIP or BNP standing in my constituency.
It's a rather strong Labour seat but Lib Dems got second last time and tories are out of it. I think Lib Dems are crap but may go for them to try and oust Labour as the Tories have no serious hopes. Can't quite see myself putting a cross on the Lib Dems though.Comment
