Shutter Island
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

For a modern American thriller it does a very creditable job of not totally telegraphing the important points.
Interesting story, but I don't recommend seeing it with a friend who's barely recovered from a depressive breakdown like I did. -
I've just downloaded Descent 2 to watch tonight. Let's hope it's as good as the first.
Still waiting for a subtitled version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoos

Shutter Island I liked very much. I didn't see any problem with Leonardo Dicaprio in the lead.
But agree, don't see it with anyone suffering from or recovering from mental illlnessComment

I do agree he's a lot better than he was, but as an actor I'm not impressed by him.
The film was well made with good suspense which is badly absent in most "thrillers" these days and the story rather powerful and quite disturbing. I don't regret paying for the ticketComment

Read the book so I imagine it's not worth seeing the film, but the book is good!"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. "
