Windows upside down

[Tarquin Farquhar]

I've just discovered by accident that Ctrl-Alt-Cursor Arrow changes the orientation of the display, e.g. Ctrl-Alt-Cursor Down makes it display upside down. Cool! Wait till someone leaves their PC on ......

I’ve just done that to two colleagues and am waiting for their reaction.

Update: Colleague number 1, with her Masters degree in Informatics from Bologna University, was completely flummoxed and discombobulated. She’s used my laptop to make a helpdesk ticket now.

Shall I tell her?

Don't do it on your own PC, you won't be able to put it back.

It works on both - but it's also dependent on graphics card and possibly the monitor type as well, IIRC.

A journalist I know has his monitor rotated 90 degrees so that he gets more on a screen that way.

XP SP2

I think if I worked on A4 docs and had a separate monitor, I'd rotate it too.

And no, you get back with Ctrl-Alt-Cursor Up.
