I got attacked on Travian last night by a big alliance. My friends sent help, I mustered my Romans
90 minutes later the first wave hit

1 second later - second wave

and so on for a dozen waves. We kicked their butts

It wasn't me! Although I have since joined on server 6. I have many crannies (up to level 7 now) and attackers don't get away with anything. I think I'll fortify, keep the crannies and let attackers lose men for no reward. One of the biggest alliances on the server (a-c) is right next to me and keeps sending in raiding troops. I won't be joining an alliance, I think I'll just try and slow down a-c in the rankings.

It's not a combat simulation but there are others pootling around the same airfield.

HAWX is good for an all out Multi-user blast 'em up.

Never defend a raid? I haven't thus far, except as an experiment. Do you send troops out on a raid instead?

yes, there are several ways to keep them(tour soldiers) out of harms way

1.send them to a friendly fortress
2.send them on a raid
3.overnight , send them on a dormitory raid
4.use the call-back tactic

How many troops should I make and of what type (I'm Roman)? I don't plan to raid farmers, just be a thorn in the side of big bullying alliances.
