I know the feeling...just secured a 6 months extension yesterday, but the project is horrible so I didn't feel like celebrating

Still thems the breaks, had some great projects in my time too.... and this extension will help pay for my move to a nice big house I've got my eye on

Well, if you also took the opportunity to negotiate:
1) rate increase
2) allowed to work from home
3) take-on new skills
then that might help.

Oh well, it's all part of growing up and hopefully the pay off is just around the corner...
