My earliest footy memory was in 1966, FA cup final, Sheffield Wednesday 2 Everton 0 with half an hour to go.

Everton came back to win 3-2 in the most glorious final ever.

I seem to recall that the Gerrard final being classed as the best FA Cup final of ALL time

yeah losing your best player can make a difference, but losing 4/5 can make an even bigger difference! Arteta, Fellaini, Yakubu, Saha, Vaughan... Good draw for liverpool against Evertons reserves!

1. Saha - injury prone and useless
2. Vaughan - what has he ever done
3. Yak - fair point, but you need to be able to cope without front line striker, I seem to recal the mighty reds doing that against chelsea and man u
4. Fellaini - he's just tall - end of.

Arteta is quality and too good for a small team. When he's old what medal will he be able to show his kids ?

I think Everton did well against Liverpool given that they have no forwards to speak of due to injuries - had it not been for a mistake by Tim Howard then Liverpool would have been out now as they didn't look like scoring before their goal or after it.
