...so I'm going to get a load of forms through then ginger? I thought they'd just set the spooks loose on me...
If it’s DV you will, I had a guy interview me at home for 4-5 hours, he interviewed all 3 of my referees as well.

      Nosey gits.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Interesting - how long does it last for then? ...How long does it take for someone to be "turned"...

SC was 5 years for a contractor, my last renewal (Aug 08) was only for 3 though.

"Developed Vetted"...I think...its been a long time since I went through that particular fun packed experience. Especially the 2nd time when my stories didn't tie up re: things I may or may not have smoked at some point.

Mind you, as a phrase it makes no sense. Probably "Deep" or "Double" or something.

Top tip: Tell 'em the truth, no matter how bad.

                "Keep them at 24,000"
                "No, feet"

BC used to be "Basic Clearance" I think - it's not applicable any more, as it wasn't a "real" security check. It's the most basic, and is used by some organizations as a quick check without going too deep.

Then it became EBS (Extended Baseline Standard) - I think this is now BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard).

SC has one pink form to complete, and a separate form to complete any criminal convictions, which goes in an envelope which is attached to the form.

Whatever you do - DON'T LIE!!! It's the lies that stop you getting the clearance, rather than the disclosures (more often than not).
