Rubbish...Israel wants the land which their "god" gave to them for themselves. They consider the Palestinians the be occupying their land and many of them want the Palestinians out, absorbed by Jordan or Egypt.

Analyse the Israeli actions over the decades..you'll see that they are as much responsible. In this specific case there was a ceasefire which one could argue was broken by the economic blockade and the assassination of several Hamas members in June.

Israel is not interested in expansion. It wants peace, but the muslim fanatics Hamas do not. There will never be peace, in just the same way that the UK and the US will never have peace from muslim terrorists.

Perhaps as the Palestinians have been pesecuted, killed, ghettosised, impoverished and pretty much wiped out (much like the Jews were at the hands of the Nazi's) They should been given somewhere else to live, another plot of land so they can practisce their relegion quitetly and safely...who's bit of land shall we steel ATW house?

Just look at the backgrounds of the news pictures and compare the rubble of Gaza/ West Bank to the wealth of Israel, which I hasten to add isn't a new thing.

I'll never forget the 70's when the PLO were in full flow, and an 70 year old disabled American guy in a wheelchair was pushed overboard on a hijacked ship to drown in front of his wife. Then there was the 1972 murder of the Israeli Olympic team in Munich, numerous aircraft hijackings and murders of pilots and passengers etc. Excuse me if I have no sympathy for muslim terrorists and wish to see them wiped out.
