Just contacted T Mobile and because I am an existing customer I cannot take advantage of any of their business promotions. How is that for trying to keep your customers and rewarding loyalty. I was initailly told that it was impossible to take a personal tmobile number and have it on a business price plan. Is cr@p customer service a mobile phone thing?
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

I use the Orange line 2 service - 2 phone lines on one phone. Gives u a separate bill for all your business calls. U just make sure the address for the second bill has your company name at the top.
One serious problem : line 2 does not roam. You cannot use the line 2 service at all when u are overseas. This I found to my cost - complained bitterly to them but they didn't give a hoot.

How do you know which line you are calling out from?
Just spoken to Vodaphone. Looks like I may give them a go. I wanted one where I could talk for free between the 2 handsets. Orange and Vodaphone both offer this. The most common call I make is to the other handset.

There's an icon with a "1" or a "2" at the top of the screen. Incoming caller ids are prefixed with a "1" / "2" as well. It's handy to put different ring tones on each line so you know instantly whether it's a business call or not.
On my Motorola I select "Settings -> Phone Status -> Active Line" to change the line selection to dial out from.
