              I doubt it would have made much difference in his case.

              There must be "something" about him. He either knows a lot about some very important people or he's just good at PR. No one with nothing to offer would have been given so many chances.

                He's allegedly full of business accumen...But does the CBI have any respect for this slimeball. And of course nobody's elected him..Labour could not risk a byelection loss...so let make him a Lord! Labour hates the upper house..but it does come in handy for pork barrel politics.
