You probably finished it by now, but no bother, I make some myself now and again. When my dear mother comes to visit, she always brings some chouriço which, in my unashamedly biased opinion, is superior to the chorizos "nuestros hermanos" flood the UK market with. Of course for caldo verde, we use the Galician cabbage, but I can't really ask my mum to bring some of those too , so I go for turnip greens, as a most agreeable substitute.

Yes, we're quite good at flavoursome hearty soups, using very few basic ingredients, coz we is poor, innit!
