the multiswitch gizmo doodah 5 in 12 out is at our mum and dad's waiting for me to collect it at chrimbo

should have it working end of Dec early Jan

fingers crossed the dish on the roof has a quattro lnb and not a quad lnb, I'll know that when I put the four cables into the multiswitch

then the next step will be to install the astra dish

interesting lesson with this stuff, I'm using the kitchen as the prototype when connections work to the kitchen the same can be implemented in other rooms, connected up the digibox and connected all wires but the digibox couldn't get a signal, and it was simply because I hadn't done a tidy enough job of the cable connections, I know it sounds silly and it is only coax cable but you still have to take your time when making the connections to make sure they are perfect.
