If the government bails out Farepak will they get loads of hampers with mouldy food as collateral?Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostThe FTSE drops 2.71% in value in one day and BBC don't even make mention of it?
Pressure from New Labour to play down the coming financial storm?
Instead they talk about Farepak hampers....Comment

The reason that Farepak got more coverage is because the average person in the UK has no concept of what the FTSE is, what the FTSE means to them and certainly can't afford to invest any money in any of the firms listed.
What matters to the great unwashed is how they're going to feed their families over the coming festive season, not a blip on the FTSE.
So you smug little bastards, back to your gloating.Comment

If you take into account the seasonally adjusted figures - altough the number remains lower overall it is actually up - only a fool would argue against that.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostWell, apart from the number being lower, it's actually up.

Ladymuck.
Still it is noteworthy that since the departure of Tony Blair the markets have had the jitters - so I say - bring back Tony.Comment
