the breakfast when I was there was aimed at the Germans and was bleedin' horrible. I mean who has crab sticks for breakfast - I wouldn't eat them at any time. I certainly wouldn't coat tem in batter and have them just when I got up.

Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

I really recommend this place for some top nosh and wines
They have 5 restaurants in Prague, and I went to one called Kampa Park
Absolutely yummy.
And you can buy a proper book of their recipes for entertaining family with. Most of them are quite complex though and need better than average cooking skills.
The Germans do a lot of things like that. I think they see it as way of self-flagellation for the horrible things they did during the (don't mention the) war.I mean who has crab sticks for breakfast - I wouldn't eat them at any time. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Yep Hotel Seven Days is pretty good, I used to like staying in the Golden Gate (you can sometimes get good deals especially if you end up with a suite) and the Fenix just off Wenceslas Square is worth a look too, and quite reasonably priced. You'll get some good deals this time of year - if you're staying 3 or 4 nights check all the hotel websites (Expedia, Hotels.com etc); I've stayed in 5 star places for less than £80/night on a stay 4 nights/pay for 3 type deal.
Oh and second the Kampa restaurants, top notch food. There's a lovely fish restaurant as well, don't remember the name but go over the Charles bridge towards the castle and turn right, a few hundred metres up on the riverside. My missus reckoned it was the best meal she ever had but then maybe that was down to the company!
