Real coders:
- Don't write all of their SQL in Java, instead of coding call-outs to SQL in the database e.g. to PL/SQL.
- Don't create tons of code without a second's thought for bind variables.
- Don't look at one blankly when asked for the execution plan for their latest, fantastic SQL.
- Don't really exist.

Odd things about my current gig... I'm contracted for a 37.5 hour week, no OT.
So I do my 7.5 and go home, the permies have been staying till 7 - 8pm lately. Bizzare.
Still, not going to feel guilty about it. If they want my time they have to pay for it
And anyway I've fixed nearly three times as many bugs for them as they expected.... in normal working hours.Do what thou wiltComment

My SQL knowledge is "SELECT * FROM TABLE". Then I get all the data and write assembler code to sort out what I want from it. That's the way forward.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment
