As opposed to British generals condemning tens of thousands of soldiers to death through their (the generals) incompetence?Originally posted by zathras View PostActually No. American soldiers (or actually pilots) caused our entire battlefield losses during the war to liberate Kuwait back in 1991. They did this when an A10 tank buster saw a column of tanks and vehicles but missed the ruddy great flag on the top of the them.
Of course this sad loss could have been avoided if the British were capable of providing their own battlefield support instead of having to rely on the drugged up evil oppressors from America!
Oh whats that...only 9 british combat plans in the entire theatre? Golly!
HAHAHAHAHHAA...yeah and Ive worked with people who have worked with them and thought they were the best people to have around in a gun fight! Then again, that sorta goes against your beliefs innit...they must be all ill disciplined gansta's cause thats what you want to believe! They also have a reputation for poor discipline. When I did a stint with the TAVR the Corporal who did my training told us of the time he did some training with Americans and found them to be ill disciplined.
Dang...dont you just hate sweeping generalisations! The US military has a reputation for being the most technically advanced force in the world, but one with no discipline.
Meh, sh1t happens in combat. The 'Oh Sh*t' reference was to a previous friendly fire when pilots swore once they realised that they had killed British Troops because they are too ready to fire first and check it out later.
I havent seen anything more on this yet interesting to see how certain cretins are quite so keen to jump on this one without any information as to who was at fault. For all you know the evil oppressors and undisciplined scum in the plans may have been given the wrong coordinates...just as the scum in the planes might have been after the soldiers on the ground because they knew a couple of them knew what really did happen to WTC7!
