    Tea Trolley

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6947212.stm

    People want:

    * A tea trolley
    * A subsidised canteen
    * A works outing
    * A full hour for lunch

    Seems like hell to me.

    Many years ago in my permie days we had two lovely ladies who came around 3 times a day with a tea trolley dispensing proper tea and coffee rather than the rubbish you get from machines today. And they were the best source of office gossip you could find in the entire company.

    Both were made redundant in favour of a coffee machine.

      I used to work somewhere that they got rid of the machines in favour of people.

      Something about the machines meant it was a BIK but if you had people doing it it wasnt.

        I hate companies that get rid of great features like the tea ladies.

            I did a gig for Laing O'Rourke and they had tea ladies. They would come round and after a day she knew what I wanted and how I liked my coffee...which is pretty damn good considering there were hunmdreds of us there......

                    We regularly (every month or so) take the afternoon off to go to St James' Park with company-provided beer and nibbles, frisbees, games of rounders, etc. And best of all, it's billable time
