Really? ISTM the major aim of the major terrorists today is to eliminate the Saudi ruling family.

I dont recall any of the Saudi ruling family were in the WTC Towers when the planes hit - surely they would have targeted the Saudi Royals in Saudi Arabia if your view was correct ?

Bin Laden didn't attack the US in order to kill a few thousand out of spite, he did it in order to provoke the US into attacking the Islamic world so hard that it would recoil and drive out the infidel invaders, especially from the holy land of Saudi Arabia, and take their Saudi traitors with them.

Why is the idea of a deception so hard to believe?
Are Russia and China not anti American looking at the statements from their leadership and military?
Has Russia not assisted North Korea in it's nuclear programme?
Do Russia and China not supply Iran with weapons, who in turn give them to terrorist groups?
Does Hugo Chavez not buy arms from Russia?
Has half of South America not turned "progressive" in the last 10 years?
Has China not made inroads in Africa?

But of course in your fantasy world the idea that a bunch of country club Neo-Cons are behind some far reaching, Machiavellian conspiracy is far more plausible.

I am saying that any such attacks will be state sponsored because the idea that a bunch of people fighting in caves with old AK-47's could bring the world's only superpower to its knees with a well coordinated attack involving suitcase nuclear weapons is outside the realm of plausibility.

On the other hand it would be much more plausible if a group of doctors, chemists, scientists etc. developed a simple dirty bomb using stuff taken from British hospitals, factories etc.
The leap from radicalisation of "disaffected unemployed youths" to trained doctors has been made. Islamist scientists capable of developing a crude dirty bomb is the more likely threat.
Russia despise us for providing Londonistan as a base for these people for the last 20 years and refusing to extradite terrorists, they are not likely to provide nukes to people who want to overthrow the Russian government and form an Islamic state in a former Soviet republic.
