I wrote a great tamagotchi program in Qbasic once, using the timer function. I can't believe you didn't even include Perl, but included some of the new fancier languages, outrageous I tells ya!
Ahh tell the truth, I got hours of enjoyment from Nibbles... that was Qbasic was it not?
I did genuinely think of BASIC and ALGOL etc when making the poll but thought it was probably past bedtime for all the granddads on the board.
Teehee
And I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids!
Qbasic Nibbles was a classic game, later to be borrowed by Nokia as a phone game (it was also on the RM Nimbus if I recall correctly, where you ate numbers so that they could palm it off as a maths game), I even remember downloading MortalKombat.bas during Qbasic's demise, outrageous!
You write in bytecode? Wimp. We real coders do it by rubbing our rubber sole shoes on the carpet to build up a charge, and pushing the electrons around the RAM chip with our fingers.
