Shortest/quickest route Euro Tunnel to Lancaster according to TomTom and AA is M20-M25-M1-M6. I rarely use this route as it is always busy and slow, but last Thursday there was a particular set of variables that made all my alternatives a bit dubious.

Suppose from that end it probably looks faster. The same why my wife drives through the city centre at peak rush.

Funny, Yahoo Maps shows the M40 the way to go.

Used the M40 going back, it was fine. The problem is the M25 between M40 and M20.
The SW corner of the M25 is notorious.

You lot are bloody useless.
It took forever to get home on Thursday night.
Massive tail back of Turdy France traffic on M20. So bad at M26? junction that I stayed on the M20.
OK then (mostly) up M1 till J17. Then it just stopped. They were still clearing an accident from 3:20 at 17:00.
God knows why this was causing tail backs. How hard can it be to divert everything onto the M6?
Then the road is full of diptulips refusing to pull over and who seeem incapable of driving in the rain.


Coming back Sunday was dead easy. 4.5 hours Lancaster to EuroTunnel.

The congestion was probably made worse by lots of drivers like you in the far right overtaking lane all in a queue getting in a huff because the driver in front just doesn't seem to realise how important you are. MAKE WAY! I AM THE KING OF ALL I SURVEY! WHY DOES NO-ONE AGREE WITH ME?!!

Maybe you should have undertaken more often?

Actualy, as all 3 lanes were moving at the same speed I pulled over to the first lane untill it sorted itself out. As I normaly do.
So in your opinion the driver in front is the most important chap in the world then? The whole world should dance to your tune because you should be allowed to express your individual freedom by ignoring the rules and doing whatever you like?

Give back your driving licence and get a bus pass immediately you tosser.
