Well, if it's any comfort to you Jedi, at the age of 12 I developed severe acne (years before any of the other kids had been told what it was) and I endured the next 6 years of school being called 'moony', 'lunarman' and girls hurridly running away from me as if I had some incurable disease. etc etc and I still carry the physical scars as well as the memories.

Move on. Stop being so angry and defensive. No one means it personally.

I am a victim, I was picked on at school because of the colour of my hair and to this day I have to put up with remarks that 'ordinary' people don't have to, is it acceptable to call someone 'fatty' or 'coon' to their face? No, so why am I expected to just put up with it?

But as long as people perpetuate this 5hit all I have to look forward to is my child coming home from school crying because some feckin idiot thinks it's ok and acceptable to teach their kids to take the pi55 out of people with red hair.

ah jedi man - you have to change this attitude, else you WILL have your child coming home from school in tears, cause he'l pick up on your sensitivity and make it his own.
I've said many times I dont find "fatty" (or words to that effect) offensive. Its a fact, not a put down. Its only a put down if you feel insecure about it yourself.
And exactly the same for ginger hair. Its not an insult - how could it be?! Ginger hair is lovely!

At school I had a BO problem and everyone hated me. I was bullied relentlessly. It made me extremely sarcastic and defensive, I was a misserable loner. I developed into a serial bragger to compensate and try to make friends. Thanks god I am not like that now.
